Acceptable use policy
Rules for safe and authorized network measurements using QoEProbe.
1. Authorized testing only
Use a probe only on networks and equipment you own, administer or are expressly authorized to test. Select DNS, HTTP, ICMP and MTR targets that you are permitted to measure. Publicly reachable targets do not automatically confer permission for intrusive or high-volume testing.
2. Demo boundaries
The free demo currently allows one probe per customer, with only the test types and configured schedules displayed in the customer portal. Do not bypass license limits, create duplicate accounts to evade limits, or manipulate the scheduler.
3. Prohibited conduct
No denial-of-service, vulnerability scanning without authorization, credential attacks, exploitation, interception of third-party communications, bulk scraping, malware, illegal content delivery or deliberate excessive traffic. Do not use probes to monitor individuals unlawfully or collect personal data beyond what is necessary and authorized.
4. Security and customer duties
Keep API keys, activation tokens and passwords private. Install probes on maintained systems; restrict local privileges and network access; review target lists and data sensitivity. Report suspected misuse or vulnerabilities privately via the verified support contact.
5. Enforcement
Where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or protect others, the service operator may suspend probes, restrict targets or terminate access, subject to the applicable demo terms and law.
